Here's the arbor that Heather sent me.
It's just a plain green metal arbor, but
I've added leaves and little white roses.
I needed to get this piece done before I could
start the bride and groom. Now I know how tall to make them.
(6-7 inches for Mark and about 5-6 for
Heather). I still need to add more leaves
and roses, but, you get the idea.
Here's something I just noticed.
Can you find the ladybug? I didn't notice
him/her until after I scanned.
Oh, well... |

|
3/29/00 I'm starting Mark today.
I'll scan as I go so that you can watch the progress.

Bad scan!! But, look what happened!!!!!
He's a LEANER!!!!!! Now, I'll have
to start all over!!!!
Oh, well. I'm just glad I didn't get too
far.
Lesson Learned: SUPPORT,
SUPPORT, SUPPORT. |

To eliminate the "lean" I cooked at this stage.
Much better results. |
|
4/2/00
Added his shirt, vest and toolbelt.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. Mark will
be wearing a carpenters toolbelt and Heather will be holding a set of blueprints. |
|
Here's a closeup of Mark's toolbelt.
Heather sent me the tools, I only had to make the hammer and pencil. |

Heather's Beginning. I used a foil cone
inside and added her neck, shoulders and boobies to the cone. Then started
rolling white into really thin sheets. One sheet is added to
the bottom of the piece. (to cover the foil bottom) Another sheet
is used for the back of the dress. |
4/7/00 As you can see, I added
the front of the dress (actually 3 different panels) The lace at the bottom
of the dress, sleeves and neckline will have tiny pearls added on later.
I cooked a sample piece with pearls on and they distorted slightly and
changed color. So, I decided I'd better add them later. She's
wearing a gold heart necklace and is holding 3 rolled blueprints. |

6/8/00 Finally finished. Getting ready to mail
them to Heather tomorrow.
I've glued tiny pearls around the bottom of the
dress, sleeves, bodice and headpiece. I'm really happy with
the way this couple turned out. |

I've varnished Marks coat lapels, the stripe
down the sides of his trousers and, of course, his shiney black shoes. |
